FAQ’s
What exactly is the NOVARIA system – and how does it work?
The NOVARIA system is an integrated cleaning and organizational process for the hotel industry. It combines surface sealing with transparent processes and digital process control. Cleaning is carried out dry, with a cloth and NOVARIA special cleaner (consisting of distilled water and, if necessary, alcohol) – efficiently and in a standardized manner.
How does the NOVARIA system differ from conventional cleaning methods?
Conventional cleaning methods rely on harsh chemicals, numerous products, and constantly changing procedures. The NOVARIA system replaces these traditional processes with technology, structure, and simplification: one coating instead of many different cleaning products, a clear workflow instead of improvisation. This saves time, money, and resources.
How safe and environmentally friendly is the NOVARIA system?
The coatings used are developed and manufactured by SST Oberflächentechnik GmbH & Co. KG in Germany, including DEKRA-certified systems for food contact materials. The coating reduces the use of chemical cleaning agents, thereby minimizing the burden on personnel and the environment. It provides long-term surface protection and contributes to sustainable cleanliness and value retention.
How does the NOVARIA system change housekeeping?
Housekeeping becomes calmer, clearer, and healthier. An independent ergonomics assessment confirms up to 75% less physical strain on cleaning staff. Processes become more predictable, language barriers decrease, and employees gain in appreciation.
How does the introduction process work at the hotel?
The NOVARIA system is customized and implemented in three steps:
1. Initial cleaning and sealing of all surfaces.
2. Conversion to cleaning with distilled water, and if necessary, alcohol and a cloth.
3. Staff training and (digital) process support.
Our team remains on-site until everything is running smoothly.
What investment is needed and when will the system pay for itself?
Implementation is a one-time investment that demonstrably pays off: hotels report average cost savings of up to 40% and a return on investment in under 12 months. Reduced cleaning product use, lower personnel costs, and stable processes ensure long-term success.
Are there any examples where the NOVARIA system is already being used successfully?
Yes. Leading hotels in Austria are already working with the NOVARIA system. They report lower costs, fewer sick days, and increasing guest ratings.
How is housekeeping organized digitally?
Instead of paper lists, employees receive all tasks digitally – including hotel, floor, room number, and time. Room issues or special requests are forwarded directly via ticket, ensuring the right team can address them immediately. Managers maintain a real-time overview, viewing progress, working hours, and quality data.
The app also supports training, time tracking, and quality control, documents all onboarding processes, and ensures that all employees work according to NOVARIA standards – making their work noticeably easier.
